A live lead is a person who, a few minutes ago, asked to hear from an advisor. That moment does not last. The desks that convert live leads well have one habit in common: they call within five minutes.
Why the first five minutes matter
- The person is still thinking about it. They filled the form for a reason, and that reason is fresh.
- They recognise the call. A call right after an enquiry feels like a reply, not a cold call.
- Leads are shared. At Database 24×7 a live lead goes to at most two firms. The first to call usually gets the conversation.
Set up the desk for speed
- Route leads to one phone. Pick the WhatsApp number or email that a caller watches all day.
- Name a caller on duty. One person owns incoming leads each shift, so nobody assumes someone else called.
- Keep the opener ready. Your caller should not be writing a pitch while the lead cools.
What to say in the first 20 seconds
Use what the person told you: their name, that they enquired a few minutes ago, and the amount they said they plan to invest. For example: “Hello, this is Ravi from ABC Advisory. You asked about investing a few minutes ago, so I am calling back as promised.” Then ask one question and listen.
If they do not pick up
- Send a short WhatsApp message with your name and firm straight away.
- Call again after about two hours.
- Try once more the next morning, then stop.
Track three numbers
Time from enquiry to first call, calls connected, and follow-ups booked. If the first number creeps past ten minutes, fix the routing before you buy a bigger pack.
